Lessons Learned in the Garden (& LMM giveaway info!)

Follow on Bloglovin

Down on my hands and knees in the garden, I thought, what a PAIN this is!  Weeding.  These stupid things keep coming back.  Why can't I pull them ONCE, and that's it?  Life would be so much simpler.

And then, I thought of God as the gardener.  My life the garden, and the weeds, well... is there any doubt what the weeds represent?  Yup.  Sin.  Goofs.  Do-overs.  Doubt.  And I'll bet God (in my human-minded limitation of him) thinks, "Why can't I teach her ONCE, and that's it?  Her life would be so much simpler." Even though I sometimes mess up BIG, I'm confident that God never once thinks of me (his creation) as "stupid" -- the way I think of the weeds.  Because, you know.... He's GOD, and... I'm his creation.

And then I spotted this beautiful Asiatic Lily.  Filled with pollen.  Hmmmm, what would the pollen represent? -- and what about those extra little filaments of spider webbing strung with more pollen...?  What do you think?

Do you ever find life-analogies in the garden? -- or is it just me, trying to find anything to think about but the weeds?

Well, HERE'S something nice to think about... a GIVEAWAY over at Lemonade Makin' Mama's blog. She's giving away this amazing necklace from Noonday.  You can CLICK on over to her blog to get more info, and you can read the Noonday story HERE.)  Check it out!

  1. Yup. I think of weeds as stupid. And, I'm pretty sure that God finds the weeds in our lives pretty annoying, too. After all, I don't blame the flower for the weed. Cute necklace! Hope you win!!
